Our staff has
substantial experience developing competency models for organizations.
Our process for developing competency models involves conducting interviews and workshops with senior leaders in
the organization and linking the competencies to business results.
We start by asking senior managers to describe future challenges of the
organization and incumbents’ roles in it. We then ask about the
competencies required to fulfill those roles. Most importantly, we
identify specific behaviors that demonstrate the competencies needed to
fulfill the roles of the future organization. Competency models
can be used for performance management and strategic succession
planning.
